UPDATE: Virtual box allowed me to just change the guest to Win 8.1 64 bit - and it still boots up OKīut of course maybe it could be better.įollowing this i was able to install Turbotax in the VM Win8.1 system - and it seems to run OK In the above image, you can see that this host computer can install and run 64 bit Operating systems with Virtual Technology and 64 Bit Architecture enabled. i should perhaps go back and do it over because i have a Win8.1 OEM disk. I was able to set the VT option in the BIOS and with this change i was able to create a Win7 64 bit machine.
